As the end of August approaches so does the conclusion of Stack Your Roster’s radio-residency with The Montreal Sessions!
Alex Williams will be your host Tuesday 3 to 5pm diving deep into all things SYR, from artists to compilations to tour and back.
Especially noteworthy is a scheduled interview with local noisy rock band Girl Arm in which Alex discusses their recent performance and album Trading Cities.
Alex Williams is back behind the mic reppin’ on behalf of local label Stack Your Roster today on The Montreal Sessions from 3-5pm. Last week they took a good look at some of the label’s biggest influences and for this episode they’re putting the spotlight on their own community. Expect lots from Names, who are out on tour, and a chunk of SYR affiliates.
Now in their second week of a month long radio-residency, local label Stack Your Roster is taking over CKUT’s airwaves today 3-5pm. Your host Alex Williams is spinning contemporary Montreal jams, drawing largely on cuts from the Plastic Factory and Egg Paper Factory compilations.
Check out last week’s episode here and get knee’s deep in all things to do with Stack Your Roster over at their bandcamp.
This August, local label Stack Your Roster takes over the reigns of our artist-in-residency program, The Montreal Sessions. Catch Alex and Will ruling the airwaves Tuesdays 3-5pm.
Straight from the horses mouth… “Stack Your Roster is a Montreal-based label made up of friends interested in quick, difficult music with feeling to spare. They’ll be spinning tracks that span the length of the label, the breadth of the Montreal scene this second and the depth of everything they’ve been influenced by.”
