Muhnday: The Stuff of Legend

Legend of Mythic Proportions

Today is the first day of August and the first day of the week; what does it all mean? In the music office, we started the day listening to Rick Wakeman’s The Myths and Legends of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table to properly herald the week ahead.

The week positively brims with the promise of exciting music: today on New Shit (3-5pm) we’ll be listening to the CKUT daycampers DJ new music in the first hour and in the second hour we’ll spend time listening to the psychfolk sounds of Bobb Trimble.

Tonight on Underground Sounds: The Barr Brothers will be in for an interview and live acoustic performance. Later in the show we’ll be listening to two interviews that were conducted at Osheaga, one with local rockers Malajube and Windsor’s own City and Colour.

Also, exciting news about the August edition of the Montreal Sessions will be announced here soonsoonsoon!

As always, check out our station grid for a full list of CKUT programming and our music dept. Twitter for up-to-the-moment babble.
