Banko Gotiti is a new artist-run label in Montreal, Canada. Named for a small co-op weigh station in Southern Ethiopia where farmers bring their crop for processing and distribution, the label was founded on the same idea: exporting the output of a fertile community to a global audience. Banko Gotiti’s roster includes NONI WO, Vesuvio Solo, Pat Jordache and The Group Sound. Since its inception, the label has released three albums, made appearances at the CMJ, POP and M for Montreal Festivals, as well as been featured in Gorilla vs Bear, Exclaim!, Chart Attack and Lesinrocks.
