Check this out… Mozart’s Sister rolled through Underground Sounds early in October and MontreaLive was there to capture the magic. Watch out for more co-presentations with TV McGill (TVM) and CKUT in the months to come, there are more sessions comin’ !!
Martin Rodriguez will curate IYGE with the theme: “Under the Influence” this November. The show will explore how our cultures and environments have influenced our musical vocabulary through the appropriation of culture and technology.
Today from noon to 2pm, tune in for special programming about the influence of folklore music on electronic production, with examples from Pierre Kwenders, Clap! Clap!, Toast Dawg, Chico Mann, Chancha Via Circuito. Also, listeners will be treated to an interview and performance from local experimental artist Engone Endong. All this at 90.3!
Check out this awesome shot from our recent edition of Radioke, hosted by CKUT’s kickass feminist music program Venus: packed studio, amazing voices, so many good vibes. I love it! Not much else to report this week, aside from the fact that it’s 9 degrees Celsius out there and sunny — which is a bit of a miracle for Montreal this time of year. Crossing my fingers that this nice biking weather continues…
