Hope all you Americans enjoyed your long weekend – up here in Canada, I hit the road on Friday night to play a show in Trois-Rivieres alongside fellow CKUT pals Ought and oh man did they ever kill it! We all got spoiled with Trifluvien hospitality, crashing in the apartment above the bar and hanging out on the back terrace around the campfire post-show. It was super dreamy, despite our early departure the next morning to boot it back to Mtl in time to help with a live remote broadcast from the Montreal Anarchist Bookfair. And hey, that was amazing too!
RPM charts return next week.

Local loop-rock duo Cinéma L’amour teamed up with CKUT and TVM recently for a video shoot in their weirdo loft.
Guitar tones aplenty, positively preposterous percussive displays, and a serious merger of Proggy structures and Poppy sounds await!

If you dig the tunage, the band is dropping their debut full length record (which currently sits perched at #2 on this week’s charts!) this Friday, May 31st. All the deets are right over here!

Today is Ryan Diduck’s last day as host of IYGE, big ups! The show offers a heavy dose of sonic experimentation and airs every Wednesday 12:00-2:00 PM. U.K. techno up-and-comer Lee Gamble is playing Mutek tomorrow night at SAT, but first he’ll be dropping by CKUT to do a guest mix! Patti Schmidt, the festival’s curator and former CBC luminary, will also be interviewed!!

Last but not least check out Mutek’s page for festival info, tickets, etc.
