As you may well know, there’s an Electro Swing party happening this Saturday at Sala Rossa. In light of this, CKUT volunteer extraordinaire Sara Krieg conducted an interview with the people behind the event (Don Mescal, Khalil, Oscar Maria and Vincent Simboli) to help shine some light on the burgeoning sub-genre and on the event itself.

Some quick info about the organizers and the event(s):
- Don Mescal & Khalil are regular DJs of the Speakeasy Electro Swing collective.
- Oscar Maria just moved to Montreal from Germany and will be a guest DJ this Saturday
- Vincent Simboli is a CKUT volunteer from McGill who does promo for them.
- This Speakeasy Electro Swing event marks the first of an ongoing party series at La Sala Rossa
The party is tomorrow, Saturday Oct 6, at the Sala Rossa. It starts at 9:30pm with a free one hour swing dance lesson from Studio 88-Swing.
Tickets are $12 at the door or $10 in advance online or from Vincent Simboli himself.
There’s also a 10% discount available at vintage clothing hub Eva B for anyone using the password “Speakeasy.”
