TED LUCAS

Ted Lucas

“Tell Me good People, What do you what do you wanna know?”

Indeed  this album contains some sultry plain and sane and simple melodies…

Some may be saying that this is the re-issue of the year – we may agree.

Yoga Records Re-issues Ted Lucas’ Self titled 1974

release of solo acoustic folk songs, a raga and a killer bluestrack. Originally put out on Lucas’ own OM label  in 1975. Lucas was active in Detroit Folk scene of the Late 60s and 70s. On this album,  Lucas’  guitar  sounds like a smooth waltz, the close miked lyrics of the songs reach out and envelop your ear. These are songs for the softer hearted that propel the heart forward while taking the mind back to the simple message of ‘Love’ from the 70s.Love, Peace and Raga builds like a 7 minute eastern fever of minor madness and Sonny Boy Blues i an invectives extended  blues jam that leaves you wishing there were more like this on the album.
