Depatterning is Gary Mentako, a native of Lady Lake, SK. the Ep opens with updates from the Candiac auction listing the price per pound on livestock broadcast through an array of static, arrhythmic pulses and bleeps, and interweaving harmonic drones. Field recordings made in Lady Lake Saskatchewan, Vancouver and Dublin, the use microphones that pick up the electromagnetic spectrum of sounds, harmonic filtering at the hand of supercollider and the super rad m-log, and other unknown diy electronics. Scapes imagined and real, dredging metallic to l said to “catalogue a sort of “culture of lost Canada” and present it in ways nearly remembered.” the Last track: For a more Complete story includes the following quote “For a more complete Story, why not contact the Canadian wild life service in Ottawa” that sounds like it comes straight for Who’s Who of the Hinterland.
